Expression Content
Caregivers can edit both expression libraries under "Settings → Expression Content". Content is stored locally and works without AI.
Two Libraries
| Library | Home Position | Structure | Capacity |
|---|---|---|---|
| Categorized Expressions | Top-left | Category → group → phrase | 4 × 4 × 4, up to 64 phrases |
| Frequent Phrases | Top-right | Category → phrase | 4 × 4, up to 16 phrases |
Categorized Expressions include Body, Objects, Sensations, and Daily life by default. Frequent Phrases include Meals & Drinks, Posture Adjustments, Daily Requests, and Family Names. Names, icons, and phrases in both libraries can be edited; empty positions are allowed.
How to Edit
- Open "Settings → Expression Content" and select a library.
- Choose the top-left, top-right, bottom-left, or bottom-right position to edit. Empty positions can be filled.
- Enter a name or complete phrase, choose an icon, and save the item.
- Tap a category in the preview or its name with an arrow to edit its groups and phrases.
- Check your changes, then save the full Settings session. Cancel discards the changes.
Deleting an item leaves an empty position; other items do not move. Deleting a category or group also removes its children.
"Restore Default" restores the selected position's default name, icon, and children, including an empty position left by deletion. Other positions are unaffected.
Copy to Frequent Phrases
Use "Copy to Frequent Phrases" beside a final categorized phrase, then select a destination category and an empty position. Existing items are not overwritten. If the category is full, free a position first; if no category exists, create one in Frequent Phrases.
The two copies can then be edited independently. Existing frequent phrases and their order are preserved during upgrades.
Configuration Advice
- Put complete everyday requests in Frequent Phrases, such as "Help me turn over" or "Call my spouse", to reduce navigation.
- Use Categorized Expressions for a broader vocabulary; complete phrases are also supported.
- Keep each item focused on one clear request and avoid similar phrases within the same level.
- Configure food, fluid, and posture requests according to the user's actual care requirements.
